أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَقَّاصٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّةِ وَإِنَّمَا لِامْرِئٍ مَا نَوَى فَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى اللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى اللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى دُنْيَا يُصِيبُهَا أَوِ امْرَأَةٍ يَتَزَوَّجُهَا فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى مَا هَاجَرَ إِلَيْهِ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: “Actions are only according to intentions, and each person will have only what he intended. Whoever's emigration is to Allah and His Messenger, his emigration is to Allah and His Messenger. And whoever's emigration is to a worldly gain he attains or a woman he marries, his emigration is to that for which he emigrated.”
