أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنِ الْمُحَاقَلَةِ وَالْمُزَابَنَةِ وَالْمُخَابَرَةِ وَعَنِ الثُّنْيَا إِلَّا أَنْ يُعْلَمَ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ هَمَّامِ بْنِ يَحْيَى كَالدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ عَطَاءً لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ جَابِرٍ حَدِيثَهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ «مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أَرْضٌ فَلْيَزْرَعْهَا»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ forbade muhaqalah, muzabanah, mukhabarah, and (selling) with a thunya (exception), unless it is known. Abu Abd al-Rahman said: In the narration of Hammam b. Yahya there is an indication that Ata did not hear from Jabir his hadith from the Prophet ﷺ: “Whoever has land, let him cultivate it.”
