أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أَرْضٌ فَلْيَزْرَعْهَا أَوْ لِيَمْنَحْهَا أَخَاهُ وَلَا يُكْرِيهَا» تَابَعَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْأَوْزَاعِي

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. ʿAmr b. ʿAlī
  2. Yaḥyá
  3. ʿAbd al-Malik
  4. ʿAṭāʾ
  5. Jābir

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever has land, let him cultivate it or grant it to his brother, and not rent it out.” Abd al-Rahman b. Amr al-Awza'i concurred with him.
