أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ كَمْ أَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِمَكَّةَ؟ قَالَ عَشْرًا قُلْتُ إِنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَزْعُمُ أَنَّهُ «أَقَامَ بِضْعَ عَشْرَةَ» قَالَ كَذَبَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ فَمَقَتَهُ

✧ I asked ʿUrwah b. al-Zubayr, “How long did the Prophet ﷺ stay in Makkah?” He said, “Ten days.” I said, “Ibn ʿAbbas claims that he stayed a little over ten days.” He said, “Ibn ʿAbbas lied.” He said, so he disliked him.
