أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

سَاقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِائَةَ بَدَنَةٍ فَنَحَرَ مِنْهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ثَلَاثًا وَسِتِّينَ بَدَنَةً وَنَحَرَ عَلِيٌّ مَا بَقِيَ ثُمَّ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَنْ تُؤْخَذَ بَضْعَةٌ مِنْ كُلِّ بَدَنَةٍ فَتُجْعَلُ فِي قِدْرٍ فَأَكَلَا مِنْ لَحْمِهَا وَحَسَوَا مِنْ مَرَقِهَا»

Translation

  4. Jābir b. ʿAbdullāh

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ slaughtered 100 camels. From them, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ slaughtered 63 camels, and Ali slaughtered the rest. Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered, "Take some meat from each camel, put it in a pot, and eat from its meat and drink from its broth."
