أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
كَانَ عَلِيٌّ قَدِمَ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ بِهَدْيٍ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَكَانَ الْهَدْيُ الَّذِي قَدِمَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَعَلِيٌّ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ مِائَةَ بَدَنَةٍ «فَنَحَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْهَا ثَلَاثًا وَسِتِّينَ وَنَحَرَ عَلِيٌّ سَبْعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ وَأَشْرَكَ عَلِيًّا فِي بُدْنِهِ ثُمَّ أُخِذَ مِنْ كُلِّ بَدَنَةٍ بَضْعَةً فَجُعِلَتْ فِي قِدْرٍ فَطُبِخَتْ فَأَكَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَعَلِيٌّ مِنْ لَحْمِهَا وَشَرِبَا مِنْ مَرَقِهَا»

✧ ʿAli had come from Yemen with a sacrificial animal for the Messenger of God ﷺ. The sacrificial animals brought by the Messenger of God ﷺ and ʿAli from Yemen were one hundred camels. "The Messenger of God ﷺ slaughtered sixty-three of them, and ʿAli slaughtered thirty-seven, and he made ʿAli a partner in his sacrificial animal. Then a piece was taken from each camel, placed in a pot, and cooked. The Messenger of God ﷺ and ʿAli ate from its meat and drank from its broth."
