أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ قَالَ فِيَّ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَقَالَ «ادْنُ» فَدَنَوْتُ فَقَالَ

«أَتُؤْذِيكَ هَوَامُّكَ؟» فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ «فَأَمَرَنِي بِصِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍ» قَالَ ابْنُ عَوْنٍ فَفَسَّرَهُ لِي مُجَاهِدٌ فَلَمْ أَحْفَظْهُ فَسَأَلْتُ أَيُّوبَ فَقَالَ الصِّيَامُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَالصَّدَقَةُ عَلَى سِتَّةِ مَسَاكِينَ وَالنُّسُكُ مَا اسْتَيْسَرَ

✧ "Are your lice troubling you?" I said, "Yes." "Then he commanded me to fast, or give charity, or offer a sacrifice." Ibn ʿAwn said, "Mujahid explained it to me but I did not memorize it. I asked Ayyub, and he said, 'The fasting is three days, the charity is for six poor persons, and the sacrifice is whatever is easy.'"
