✧ The throat before slaughter.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ وَيُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَفَ لِلنَّاسِ عَامَ حَجَّةَ الْوَدَاعِ يَسْأَلُونَهُ فَجَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَمْ أَشْعُرْ فَنَحَرْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَرْمِيَ قَالَ «ارْمِ وَلَا حَرَجَ» قَالَ آخَرُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَمْ أَشْعُرْ فَحَلَقْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَذْبَحَ قَالَ «اذْبَحْ وَلَا حَرَجَ» قَالَ فَمَا سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ شَيْءٍ قُدِّمَ وَلَا أُخِّرَ إِلَّا قَالَ افْعَلْ وَلَا حَرَجَ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood for the people in the year of the Farewell Pilgrimage while they were asking him. A man came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I did not realize and I slaughtered before I threw the pebbles." He said, "Throw, and there is no harm." Another said, "O Messenger of Allah, I did not realize and I shaved before I slaughtered." He said, "Slaughter, and there is no harm." He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was not asked about anything that was done before or after except that he said, 'Do it, and there is no harm.'"
