أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ وَاسْمُهُ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَبِي وَحْشِيَّةَ وَهُوَ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ إِيَاسٍ وَهُوَ مِنْ أَثْبَتِ النَّاسِ فِي سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مُحْرِمًا صُرِعَ عَنْ نَاقَتِهِ فَأُوقِصَ ذُكِرَ أَنَّهُ مَاتَ فَقَالَ

النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «اغْسِلُوهُ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ وَكَفِّنُوهُ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ ثُمَّ» قَالَ عَلَى إِثْرِهِ خَارِجَ رَأْسِهِ قَالَ «وَلَا تُمِسُّوهُ طِيبًا فَإِنَّهُ يُبْعَثُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلَبِّيًا» قَالَ شُعْبَةُ فَسَأَلْتُهُ بَعْدَ عَشْرِ سِنِينَ فَجَاءَ بِالْحَدِيثِ كَمَا كَانَ يَجِيءُ بِهِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ «وَلَا تُخَمِّرُوا وَجْهَهُ وَرَأْسَهُ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said, “Wash him with water and sidr and shroud him in two garments.” Then he added immediately after that, with his head uncovered, “And do not touch him with perfume, for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting the talbiyah.” Shuʿbah said: I asked him after ten years, and he narrated the hadith just as he used to narrate it, except that he said, “And do not cover his face and head.”
