✧ Washing a deceased person with the leaves of the sidr tree

أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَوَقَصَتْهُ نَاقَتُهُ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَمَاتَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اغْسِلُوهُ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ وَكَفِّنُوهُ فِي ثَوْبَيْهِ وَلَا تُمِسُّوهُ بِطِيبٍ وَلَا تُخَمِّرُوا رَأْسَهُ؛ فَإِنَّهُ يُبْعَثُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلَبِّيًا»

Translation

✧ That a man was with the Prophet ﷺ and his she-camel broke his neck while he was in ihram, and he died. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Wash him with water and sidr, shroud him in his two garments, do not touch him with perfume, and do not cover his head, for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting the talbiyah.”
