al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 3303

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُقَدَّمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ وَجَدَ تَمْرًا فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَيْهِ وَمَنْ لَا فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى مَاءٍ فَإِنَّهُ طَهُورٌ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدِيثُ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ خَطَأٌ وَالصَّوَابُ الَّذِي قَبْلَهُ

Translation

  4. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Ṣuhayb
  5. Anas

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever finds dates, let him break his fast with them, and whoever does not, let him break his fast with water, for it is purifying." Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Shu'bah's hadith from Abd al-Aziz b. Suhayb is a mistake, and the correct one is the one before it.
