أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ فَإِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ صَائِمًا فَلَا يَرْفُثْ وَلَا يَجْهَلْ فَإِنِ امْرُؤٌ قَاتَلَهُ أَوْ شَاتَمَهُ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ» وَقَفَهُ أَبُو حَصِينٍ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Fasting is a shield. So when one of you is fasting, he should not use obscene language or act ignorantly. If a man fights him or insults him, let him say: 'I am fasting, I am fasting.'" Abu Husayn considered it mawquf (stopped at the Companion).
