أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ وَفْدَ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ أَتَوَا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَمَرَهُمْ بِأَرْبَعٍ أَنْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِاللهِ وَحْدَهُ وَأَنْ يُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَيَصُومُوا رَمَضَانَ وَيُعْطُوا مِنَ الْمَغَانِمِ الْخُمُسَ

✧ The delegation of ʿAbd al-Qays came to the Prophet ﷺ, and he commanded them with four things: to believe in Allah alone, to establish prayer, to give zakāh, to fast Ramaḍān, and to give a fifth of the spoils.
