✧ Differences Regarding Hammad b. Abi Sulayman in This Hadith

أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ عَنِ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «يَخْرُجُ إِلَى الْفَجْرِ وَرَأْسُهُ يَقْطُرُ ثُمَّ يَظَلُّ صَائِمًا» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ «هَذَا أَوْلَى بِالصَّوَابِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ كَعْبٍ وَكَعْبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ فَلَا نَعْرِفُهُ وَحَدِيثُهُ خَطَأٌ وَزَائِدَةُ أَثْبَتُ مِنْ أَبِي عَاصِمٍ وَمِنَ النَّضْرِ وَحَدِيثُ النَّضْرِ أَوْلَى بِالصَّوَابِ تَابَعَهُ عَلَى هَذِهِ الرِّوَايَةِ مُغِيرَةُ بْنُ مِقْسَمٍ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ would go out at dawn with his head dripping, then he would remain fasting. Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said: This is more likely correct than the hadith of Ka'b, and Ka'b b. 'Abdullah we do not know, and his hadith is a mistake. Za'idah is more reliable than Abu 'Asim and al-Nadr, and the hadith of al-Nadr is more likely correct. Mughirah b. Miqsam concurred with him on this narration.
