أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ وأَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «تُصِيبُهُ الْجَنَابَةُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ الصَّوْمَ فَيَنَامُ وَيَسْتَيْقِظُ وَيُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا فَيُفِيضُ عَلَيْهِ الْمَاءَ وَيُتِمُّ صِيَامَهُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would become junub at night while intending to fast, then he would sleep, wake up, and reach the morning in a state of janabah, then he would pour water over himself and complete his fast.
