✧ Mentioning the disagreement of the carriers regarding the news of Abu Ayyub

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ «مَنْ صَامَ شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَهُ سِتَّةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ شَوَّالٍ فَكَأَنَّمَا صَامَ السَّنَةَ كُلَّهَا»

✧ He said: “Whoever fasts the month of Ramaḍān and then follows it with six days of Shawwāl, it is as if he has fasted the entire year.”
