أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ فَقَالَ
حَجَجْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ «فَلَمْ يَصُمْهُ وَمَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَلَمْ يَصُمْهُ وَمَعَ عُمَرَ فَلَمْ يَصُمْهُ وَمَعَ عُثْمَانَ فَلَمْ يَصُمْهُ وَأَنَا لَا أَصُومُهُ وَلَا آمُرُكَ وَلَا أَنْهَاكَ غَيْرَ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَصُمْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَلَا تَصُمْ»
