al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 2841

✧ The breakfast of the Day of Arafah in Arafah and the mention of the differences regarding Ayyub in the report of b. Abbas in it.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى فُضَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَرِيزٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ يَقُولُ سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ قَالَ

«كُنَّا وَنَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ نَعْدِلُهُ بِصَوْمِ سَنَةٍ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبُو حَرِيزٍ لَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ وَاسْمُهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ قَاضِي سِجِسْتَانَ وَحَدِيثُهُ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ مُنْكَرٌ

✧ We, while we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, used to consider it equivalent to fasting for a year. Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Abu Hariz is not strong, and his name is Abdullah b. Husayn, the judge of Sijistan, and this hadith of his is a rejected hadith.
