✧ The breakfast of the Day of Arafah in Arafah and the mention of the differences regarding Ayyub in the report of b. Abbas in it.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ سُئِلَ عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ فَقَالَ

حَجَجْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ «فَلَمْ يَصُمْهُ»

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. ʿAlī b. Ḥujr
  2. Sufyān And ʾIsmāʿīl
  3. Ibn Abū Najīḥ from his father
  4. Ibn ʿUmar Suʾil
  5. Ṣawm Yawm ʿArafah

✧ I performed Hajj with the Prophet ﷺ and he did not fast it.
