أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ عَنْ خَالِدٍ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ أَنَّ مَوْلَى قُدَامَةَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ مَوْلَى أُسَامَةَ قَالَ

كَانَ أُسَامَةُ يَرْكَبُ إِلَى مَالٍ لَهُ بِوَادِي الْقُرَى فَيَصُومُ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ قُلْتُ لَهُ أَتَصُومُ فِي السَّفَرِ وَقَدْ كَبِرْتَ؟ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَصُومُ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ قَالَ «إِنَّ الْأَعْمَالَ تُعْرَضُ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَيَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ» 2795 أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ السَّرَخْسِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ أَنَّ مَوْلَى قُدَامَةَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ مَوْلَى أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أُسَامَةَ كَانَ يَرْكَبُ إِلَى مَالٍ لَهُ وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ 2796 أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصُّورِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَلَّامِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَوْلَى قُدَامَةَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ أَنَّ مَوْلَى أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ كَانَ يَصُومُ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَيَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ نَحْوَهُ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبُو سَلَّامٍ اسْمُهُ مَمْطُورٌ

✧ Usamah used to ride to a property of his in Wadi al-Qura and fast on Monday and Thursday. I said to him: "Do you fast while traveling, though you have grown old?" He said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ fasting on Monday and Thursday, and he said: 'Indeed, deeds are presented on Monday and Thursday.'" [2795] Ubayd Allah b. Sa'id al-Sarakhsi informed us; he said: Mu'adh b. Hisham al-Dastawa'i narrated to us; he said: my father narrated to me from Yahya b. Abi Kathir; he said: Umar b. Abd al-Hakam b. Thawban narrated to me that the freed slave of Qudamah b. Maz'un narrated to him that the freed slave of Usamah b. Zayd narrated to him that Usamah used to ride to a property of his, and he mentioned the hadith. [2796] Ubayd Allah b. Fadalah informed me; he said: Muhammad b. al-Mubarak al-Suri informed us; he said: Mu'awiyah b. Sallam b. Abi Sallam narrated to us from Yahya b. Abi Kathir; he said: the freed slave of Qudamah b. Maz'un narrated to me that the freed slave of Usamah b. Zayd informed him that Usamah b. Zayd used to fast on Monday and Thursday, similarly. Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Abu Sallam's name is Mamtur.
