أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَصْرِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا زَيْدٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ حُبَابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ أَبُو مُوسَى مَوْلَى عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الصِّيَامِ ثَلَاثًا قَالَ «صُمْ شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ وَالَّذِي يَلِيهِ وَيَوْمَ الْأَرْبِعَاءِ وَالْخَمِيسِ فَإِذًا أَنْتَ قَدْ صُمْتَ الدَّهْرَ وَأَفْطَرْتَ»

  4. ʿUbaydullāh b. Muslim al-Qurashī from his father

✧ I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about fasting three times. He said: "Fast the month of Ramadan and what follows it, and Wednesday and Thursday, for then you will have fasted the entire time and broken the fast."
