أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَاجِرِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيِّ قَالَ

قَدِمْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِنْ سَفَرٍ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمَّا ذَهَبْتُ لِأَخْرُجَ قَالَ «انْتَظِرِ الْغَدَاءَ يَا أَبَا أُمَيَّةَ» قُلْتُ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ قَالَ «تَعَالَ أُخْبِرْكَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ إِنَّ اللهَ وَضَعَ عَنْهُ الصِّيَامَ وَنِصْفَ الصَّلَاةِ» 2591 أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قال حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنِ مَرْوَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو قِلَابَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْمُهَاجِرِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ أَنَّهُ قَدِمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ from a journey and greeted him. When I turned to leave, he said, “Wait for lunch, O Abu Umayyah.” I said, “I am fasting, O Prophet of Allah.” He said, “Come, I will tell you about the traveler: Allah has lifted from him the fasting and half of the prayer.” 2591 Ahmad b. Sulayman narrated to us; he said: Musa b. Marwan narrated to us; he said: Muhammad b. Harb narrated to us, from al-Awza'i; he said: Yahya narrated to me; he said: Abu Qilabah narrated to me; he said: Abu al-Muhajir narrated to me; he said: Abu Umayyah narrated to me that he came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he mentioned something similar.
