أَخْبَرَنِي شُعَيْبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو قِلَابَةَ الْجَرْمِيُّ أَنَّ أَبَا أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيَّ حَدَّثَهُمْ

أَنَّهُ قَدِمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ سَفَرٍ فَقَالَ «انْتَظِرِ الْغَدَاءَ يَا أَبَا أُمَيَّةَ» قُلْتُ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ قَالَ «إِذًا أُخْبِرُكَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ إِنَّ اللهَ وَضَعَ عَنْهُ الصِّيَامَ وَنِصْفَ الصَّلَاةِ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَهَذَا خَطَأٌ قَوْلُهُ «أَنَّ أَبَا أُمَيَّةَ حَدَّثَهُمْ» خَطَأٌ هَذَا الْقَوْلُ نَفْسُهُ

✧ He came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from a journey, and he said, “Wait for lunch, O Abu Umayyah.” I said, “I am fasting.” He said, “Then I shall tell you about the traveler: Allah has lifted from him the fasting and half of the prayer.” Abu Abd al-Rahman said: This is an error. His saying “that Abu Umayyah narrated to them” is an error, and this statement itself is an error.
