✧ The Explanation of Differences in Mansoor's Narration in the Hadith Quarter

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ

عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَقَدَّمُوا الشَّهْرَ حَتَّى تُكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ أَوْ تَرَوُا الْهِلَالَ ثُمَّ صُومُوا فَلَا تُفْطِرُوا حَتَّى تُكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ أَوْ تَرَوُا الْهِلَالَ» أَرْسَلَهُ الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ

Translation

✧ From some of the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Do not precede the month until you complete the count or sight the crescent. Then fast, and do not break the fast until you complete the count or sight the crescent." Al-Hajjaj b. Artah transmitted it as mursal.
