✧ A bedouin came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with disheveled hair and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, tell me what Allah has made obligatory upon me of prayer.' He said, 'The five prayers, unless you wish to do something voluntary.' He said, 'Tell me what Allah has made obligatory upon me of fasting.' He said, 'Fasting the month of Ramadan, unless you wish to do something voluntary.' He said, 'Tell me what Allah has made obligatory upon me of zakat.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ informed him of the laws of Islam. He said, 'By the One who has honored you, I will not do any voluntary act, nor will I decrease anything from what Allah has made obligatory upon me.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'He will succeed, by his father, if he is truthful, or he will enter Paradise, by his father, if he is truthful.'
