أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ رِئَابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي كِنَانَةُ بْنُ نُعَيْمٍ وَأَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ هَارُونَ عَنْ كِنَانَةَ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ مُخَارِقٍ قَالَ

تَحَمَّلْتُ حَمَالَةً فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فِيهَا قَالَ إِنَّ الْمَسْأَلَةَ لَا تَحِلُّ إِلَّا لِثَلَاثَةٍ رَجُلٍ تَحَمَّلَ بِحَمَالَةٍ بَيْنَ قَوْمٍ فَيَسَأَلُ فِيهَا حَتَّى يُؤَدِّيَهَا ثُمَّ يُمْسِكَ

✧ I incurred a debt on behalf of others, so I came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him about it. He said: 'Begging is not lawful except for three: a man who incurred a debt on behalf of a people, and he may ask for it until he pays it off, then he should stop.'
