أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ الْمَكِّيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ قَالَتْ
عَائِشَةُ كَانَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَوْمًا عُمَّالَ أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَكَانَ يَكُونُ لَهُمْ أَرْوَاحٌ فَقِيلَ لَهُمْ لَوِ اغْتَسَلْتُمْ

✧ Aisha said, "The Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ were people who worked with their own hands, and they used to have body odor. It was said to them, 'Would that you perform ghusl.'"
