أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَلَمَةَ فَقَالَ لِي أَبُو قِلَابَةَ هُوَ حَيٌّ أَفَلَا تَلْقَاهُ؟ قَالَ أَيُّوبُ فَلَقِيتُهُ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ
لَمَّا كَانَتْ وَقْعَةُ الْفَتْحِ بَادَرَ كُلُّ قَوْمٍ بِإِسْلَامِهِم فَذَهَبَ أَبِي بِإِسْلَامِ أَهْلِ حَوَائِنَا فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ اسْتَقْبَلْنَاهُ فَقَالَ جِئْتُكُمْ وَاللهِ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حَقًّا فَقَالَ «صَلُّوا صَلَاةَ كَذَا فِي حِينِ كَذَا وَصَلُّوا صَلَاةَ كَذَا فِي حِينِ كَذَا فَإِذَا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَلْيُؤَذِّنْ لَكُمْ أَحَدُكُمْ وَلْيَؤُمَّكُمْ أَكْثَرُكُمْ قُرْآنًا»

✧ When the event of the conquest happened, every people hastened to embrace Islam. My father went with the Islam of the people of our area. When he arrived, we met him, and he said, "I have come to you, by Allah, from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ truly. He said: 'Pray such-and-such prayer at such-and-such time, and pray such-and-such prayer at such-and-such time. When the prayer time comes, let one of you call the adhan for you, and let the one among you who knows the most Qur'an lead you in prayer.'"
