أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ فَإِذَا قَالُوا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ عَصَمُوا مِنِّي دِمَاءَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلَّا بِحَقِّهَا وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللهِ ثُمَّ تَلَا ﷺ {إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ لَسْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمُصَيْطِرٍ} [الغاشية 22]

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I have been commanded to fight the people until they say, 'There is no god but Allah.' When they say, 'There is no god but Allah,' they protect their blood and their wealth from me, except for its right, and their reckoning is with Allah." Then he ﷺ recited: {You are only a reminder; you are not over them a controller} [al-Ghāshiyah: 22].
