أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَيَّاشُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنِي خَيْرُ بْنُ نُعَيْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ {وَالْفَجْرِ وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ} [الفجر 2] قَالَ «عَشْرُ النَّحْرُ وَالْوَتْرُ يَوْمُ عَرَفَةَ وَالشَّفْعُ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ»

✧ "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'By the dawn and by the ten nights' [Surah Al-Fajr, verse 2]. He said, 'The ten nights refer to the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, and the odd number refers to the day of Arafah, and the even number refers to the day of sacrifice.'"
