أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حُسَيْنٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَلِيٍّ الْجُعْفِيِّ عَنْ فُضَيْلٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ الْأَقْمَرِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اتَّقُوا الظُّلْمَ فَإِنَّهُ الظُّلُمَاتُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَاتَّقُوا الْفُحْشَ فَإِنَّ اللهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْفُحْشَ وَالتَّفَحُّشَ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالشُّحَّ فَإِنَّهُ أَهْلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ أَمَرَهُمْ بِالظُّلْمِ فَظَلَمُوا وَأَمَرَهُمْ بِالْفُجُورِ فَفَجَرُوا وَأَمَرَهُمْ بِالْقَطِيعَةِ فَقَطَعُوا»
Translation

- ʿAbdah b. ʿAbdullāh
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “Beware of wrongdoing, for it will be darkness on the Day of Resurrection. Beware of obscenity, for God does not love obscenity or those who indulge in it. Beware of miserliness, for it destroyed those before you: it commanded them to wrong others, so they wronged; commanded them to immorality, so they committed immorality; and commanded them to sever ties, so they severed.”
