أَخْبَرَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ أَنَّ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَرَأَهَا {وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جُنَّتَانِ} [الرحمن 46] فَقُلْتُ وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ {وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جُنَّتَانِ} [الرحمن 46] قَالَ قُلْتُ وَإِنْ زِنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ {وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جُنَّتَانِ} [الرحمن 46] وَإِنْ زِنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ وَرَغِمَ أَنْفُ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ فَلَا أَزَالُ أَقْرَؤُهَا كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى أَلْقَاهُ

✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he recited it: {And for him who fears the standing before his Lord are two gardens} [al-Raḥmān: 46]. I said: “Even if he commits adultery and even if he steals, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: {And for him who fears the standing before his Lord are two gardens} [al-Raḥmān: 46]. I said: “Even if he commits adultery and even if he steals, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: {And for him who fears the standing before his Lord are two gardens} [al-Raḥmān: 46], even if he commits adultery and even if he steals, and may the nose of Abū al-Dardāʾ be rubbed in dust. So I will never cease reciting it like that until I meet Him.
