✧ What should someone do if they stood up from two units of prayer forgetfully and did not perform the sitting for tashahhud?

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ قَالَ
«صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَلَمْ يَجْلِسْ فَقَامَ النَّاسُ مَعَهُ فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ وَنَظَرْنَا تَسْلِيمَهُ كَبَّرَ فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ قَبْلَ التَّسْلِيمِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ»

✧ “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed two units with us, then stood up and did not sit. The people stood up with him. When he finished his prayer and we awaited his salutation, he said takbir and prostrated twice while sitting before the salutation, then he gave the salutation.”
