Sūrat Fuṣṣilat

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ بَهْزِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي قَوْلِهِ {يَشْهَدُ عَلَيْكُمْ سَمْعُكُمْ وَلَا أَبْصَارُكُمْ وَلَا جُلُودُكُمْ} [فصلت 22] قَالَ «إِنَّكُمْ تُدْعَوْنَ مُفْدَمًا عَلَى أَفْوَاهِكِمْ بِالْفِدَامِ فَأَوَّلُ شَيْءٍ يُبِينُ عَلَى أَحَدِكِمْ فَخِذُهُ وَكَفُّهُ»

Translation

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ regarding His saying: {Your hearing, your sight, and your skins will testify against you.} [Fuṣṣilat: 22], he said: “You will be summoned with your mouths muzzled with the fidām. The first thing to speak on behalf of one of you will be his thigh and his palm.”
