أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

جَاءَ حَبْرٌ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ جَعَلَ اللهُ السَّمَوَاتِ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْأَرَضِينَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْمَاءَ وَالثَّرَى عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالشَّجَرَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْخَلَائِقَ كُلَّهَا عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ ثُمَّ يَهُزُّهُنَّ وَيَقُولُ أَنَا الْمَلِكُ فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ ضَحِكَ حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ تَعَجُّبًا لِمَا قَالَ وَتَصْدِيقًا لَهُ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَالْأَرْضُ جَمِيعًا قَبْضَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ} [الزمر 67]

✧ A rabbi from the Jews came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Abu al-Qasim, when the Day of Resurrection comes, Allah will place the heavens on one finger, the earths on one finger, the water and the soil on one finger, the trees on one finger, and all creatures on one finger. Then He will shake them and say, 'I am the King.'" I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ laugh until his molars appeared, in wonder at what he said and in confirmation of it. Then he recited: {And they did not appraise Allah with true appraisal, while the earth entirely will be in His grip on the Day of Resurrection...} [al-Zumar: 67].
