أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ الْحُبْحَابِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِقِنَاعٍ مِنْ بُسْرٍ فَقَالَ وَمَثَلُ كَلِمَةً طَيِّبَةً كَشَجَرَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ قَالَ «هِيَ النَّخْلَةُ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought a basket of unripe dates, and he said: “And the similitude of a good word is as a good tree.” He said: ‘It is the date-palm.’”
