أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ أَبِي أَخْبَرَنَا عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ وَأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُقَيْلٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ النَّحْوِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عِكْرِمَةُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

مَنْ كَفَرَ بِالرَّجْمِ فَقَدْ كَفَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ وَذَلِكَ قَوْلُ اللهِ تَعَالَى {يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيرًا مِمَّا كُنْتُمْ تُخْفُونَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَيَعْفُو عَنْ كَثِيرٍ} [المائدة 15] فَكَانَ مِمَّا أَخْفَوِا الرَّجْمَ

✧ Whoever disbelieves in stoning has disbelieved in the Qur'an from where he does not realize. That is the saying of Allah, exalted is He: {O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture and overlooking much} [al-Ma'idah: 15]. Among what they concealed was stoning.
