أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي جُنْدُبٌ
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُتَوَفَّى بِخَمْسٍ يَقُولُ «قَدْ كَانَ لِي مِنْكُمْ إِخْوَةٌ وَأَصْدِقَاءُ وَإِنِّي أَبْرَأُ إِلَى كُلِّ خَلِيلٍ مِنْ خُلَّتِهِ وَلَوْ كُنْتُ مُتَّخِذًا خَلِيلًا مِنْ أُمَّتِي لَاتَّخَذْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ خَلِيلًا وَإِنَّ رَبِّي اتَّخَذَنِي خَلِيلًا كَمَا اتَّخَذَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلًا وَلَا تَتَّخِذُوا الْقُبُورَ مَسَاجِدَ فَإِنِّي أَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْ ذَلِكَ»

✧ He heard the Prophet ﷺ say, five [days] before he passed away: “I had brothers and friends among you, and I declare myself free before every close friend of his friendship. If I were to take a close friend from my Ummah, I would have taken Abū Bakr as a close friend. Indeed, my Lord has taken me as a close friend, just as He took Ibrāhīm as a close friend. And do not take graves as mosques, for I forbid you from that.”
