Sūrat Āli ʿImrān

أَخْبَرَنَا مُجَاهِدُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ أَبِي رَاشِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ لَهُ مَالٌ لَا يُؤَدِّي حَقَّ مَالِهِ إِلَّا جُعِلَ لَهُ طَوْقًا فِي عُنُقِهِ شُجَاعٌ أَقْرَعُ فَهُوَ يَفِرُّ مِنْهُ وَهُو يَتْبَعُهُ» قَالَ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ مِصْدَاقَهُ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللهِ {وَلَا يَحْسِبَنَّ الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ} [آل عمران 180] إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ} [آل عمران 180]

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “No man who has wealth and does not pay what is due on it, except that it will be made into a collar around his neck: a bold bald snake from which he will flee while it pursues him.” He said: Then he recited its confirmation from the Book of Allah: “And let not those who are stingy suppose…” [Āli ʿImrān 180] up to His saying: “…on the Day of Resurrection” [Āli ʿImrān 180].
