أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ
لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ {لَنْ تَنَالُوا الْبِرَّ حَتَّى تُنْفِقُوا مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ} [آل عمران 92] قَالَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ أَرَى رَبَّنَا يَسْأَلُنَا أَمْوَالَنَا فَأُشْهِدُكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنِّي قَدْ جَعَلْتُ أَرْضِي لِلَّهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اجْعَلْهَا فِي قَرَابَتِكَ» فَجَعَلَهَا فِي حَسَّانَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ وَأُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ

✧ When {You will not attain righteousness until you spend from what you love} [Al Imran: 92] was revealed, Abu Talha said: I see our Lord asking us for our wealth, so I call you to witness, O Messenger of Allah, that I have made my land for Allah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Assign it to your relatives." So he assigned it to Hassan b. Thabit and Ubayy b. Ka'b.
