أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ سَمِيعٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ الْبَطِينُ وَعَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ أَعْيَنَ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ

قَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللهِ وَأَيْمَانِهِمْ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا} [آل عمران 77] إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَنْسَخْهَا شَيْءٌ فَمَنِ اقْتَطَعَ مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ بِيَمِينِهِ فَهُوَ مِنْ أَهْلِ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ

Translation

✧ Ibn Masʿūd said: 'This verse was revealed: {Indeed, those who purchase with the covenant of Allah and their oaths a small price} [Āli ʿImrān 77] to the end of the verse. Then nothing abrogated it. So whoever seizes the property of a Muslim by his oath, he is among the people of this verse.'
