أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْمُعَافَى عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْجَنَازَةِ «اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا وَغَائِبِنَا وَشَاهِدِنَا وَذَكَرِنَا وَأُنْثَانَا وَصَغِيرِنَا وَكَبِيرِنَا اللهُمَّ مَنْ أَحْيَيْتَهُ مِنَّا فَأَحْيِهِ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ وَمَنْ تَوَفَّيْتَهُ مِنَّا فَتَوَفَّهُ عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ» [398] 10857 أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ مِثْلَهُ سَوَاءٌ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ «وَكَبِيرِنَا» وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ مَا بَعْدَهُ 10858 أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَسَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ نَحْوَهُ

✧ I heard the Prophet ﷺ say in the prayer over the funeral: "O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, our absent and our present, our males and our females, our young and our old. O Allah, whomever You keep alive among us, keep him alive upon Islam, and whomever You take in death among us, take him in death upon faith." [398] 10857 Ismail b. Mas'ud informed us, he said: Yazid, who is Ibn Zuray', narrated to us, he said: Hisham narrated to us, from Yahya, from Abu Ibrahim al-Ansari, from his father, that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say in the prayer over the deceased something exactly similar up to his saying "and our old," and he did not mention what comes after it. 10858 Muhammad b. Abdullah b. Yazid al-Muqri informed us, from his father, he said: Hammam narrated to us, he said: Yahya narrated to us, from Abdullah b. Abi Qatadah, from his father, that he witnessed the Prophet ﷺ praying over a deceased person and heard him say something similar.
