أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُصْعَبُ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ حَلَفْتُ بِاللَّاتِ وَالْعُزَّى فَقَالَ
لِي أَصْحَابِي بِئْسَ مَا قُلْتَ قُلْتَ هُجْرًا فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ «قُلْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَانْفُثْ عَنْ شِمَالِكَ ثَلَاثًا وَتَعَوَّذْ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ ثُمَّ لَا تَعُدْ»

✧ My companions said to me: 'How bad is what you said! You uttered an obscenity.' So I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned that to him. He said: 'Say: There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs dominion and to Him belongs praise, and He is capable of everything. And blow to your left three times, and seek refuge in Allah from Satan, then do not repeat it.'
