أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدٍ الْقَارِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَ
بِتُّ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَكُنْتُ أَسْمَعُهُ إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ وَتَبَوَّأَ مَضْجَعَهُ يَقُولُ «اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِمُعَافَاتِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ وَأَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ اللهُمَّ لَا أَسْتَطِيعُ ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتُ وَلَكِنْ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ» 10662 أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ الْبَرْقِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ خُصَيْفَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدٍ الْقَارِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ نَحْوَهُ

✧ I spent a night with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I would hear him, when he finished his prayer and took to his bed, saying, "O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pardon from Your punishment, and I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your wrath, and I seek refuge in You from You. O Allah, I cannot fully praise You, even if I strive, but You are as You have praised Yourself." 10662 Muhammad b. 'Abd al-Rahim al-Barqi informed us, he said: Yahya b. Hassan narrated to us, he said: Isma'il b. Ja'far narrated to us, he said: Yazid b. Khusayfah narrated to us, from 'Abd Allah b. 'Abd al-Qari, from 'Ali, something similar.
