أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
أَتَى ظِئْرُ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَسَأَلَهُ أَنْ يُعَلِّمَهُ شَيْئًا يَقُولُهُ حِينَ يَأْخُذُ مَضْجَعَهُ قَالَ اقْرَأْ {قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ} [الكافرون 1] ثُمَّ نَمْ عَلَى خَاتِمَتِهَا فَإِنَّهَا بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ

✧ The foster-brother of Zayd b. Thabit came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him to teach him something he could say when he took to his bed. He said: "Recite: 'Say: O disbelievers' [al-Kafirun: 1], then sleep upon its conclusion, for it is a disavowal of shirk."
