أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «فَمَجِيءُ مَا جَاءَ بِكَ؟» قَالَ قُلْتُ جِئْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لِتُعَلِّمَنِي شَيْئًا أَقَوْلُهُ عِنْدَ مَنَامِي قَالَ إِذَا أَخَذَتْ مَضْجَعَكَ فَاقْرَأْ {قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ} [الكافرون 1] ثُمَّ نَمْ عَلَى خَاتِمَتِهَا فَإِنَّهَا بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ
Translation

✧ that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "So what has brought you?" He said: "I have come, O Messenger of Allah, for you to teach me something I can say when I go to sleep." He said: "When you take to your bed, recite: 'Say: O disbelievers' [al-Kafirun: 1], then sleep upon its conclusion, for it is a disavowal of shirk."
