أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ آخِرِ مَا يَقُولُ حِينَ يَنَامُ وَهُوَ وَاضِعٌ يَدَهُ عَلَى خَدِّهِ الْأَيْمَنِ وَهُوَ يَرَى أَنَّهُ مَيِّتٌ فِي لَيْلَتِهِ تِلْكَ «رَبَّ السَّمَوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمَ رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُنَزِّلَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَالْإِنْجِيلِ وَالْفُرْقَانِ فَالِقَ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوَى أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهِ اللهُمَّ أَنْتَ الْأَوَّلُ فَلَيْسَ قَبْلَكَ شَيْءٌ وَأَنْتَ الْآخِرُ فَلَيْسَ بَعْدَكَ شَيْءٌ وَأَنْتَ الظَّاهِرُ فَلَيْسَ فَوْقَكَ شَيْءٌ وَأَنْتَ الْبَاطِنُ فَلَيْسَ دُونَكَ شَيْءٌ اقْضِ عَنِّي الدَّينَ وَأَغْنِنِي مِنَ الْفَقْرِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, among the last of what he would say when he slept, while placing his hand on his right cheek and thinking that he might die that night, was: “Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Mighty Throne, our Lord and Lord of everything, Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Criterion, Splitter of the grain and the date-stone. I seek refuge in You from every thing whose forelock You hold. O Allah, You are the First, and there is nothing before You; You are the Last, and there is nothing after You; You are the Outward, and there is nothing above You; You are the Inward, and there is nothing below You. Settle my debt and enrich me from poverty.”
