أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ أَبُو ثَابِتٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَرْفَجَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ عَنْ زِرٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ
مَنْ قَرَأَ {تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ} [الملك 1] كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ مَنَعَهُ اللهُ بِهَا مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَكُنَّا فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ نُسَمِّيهَا الْمَانِعَةَ وَإِنَّهَا فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ سُورَةٌ مَنْ قَرَأَ بِهَا فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ فَقَدْ أَكْثَرَ وَأَطَابَ مُخْتَصَرٌ

✧ Whoever recites, "Blessed is He in whose hand is the dominion" [Surah Al-Mulk, verse 1] every night, Allah will protect him from the punishment of the grave. During the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, we used to call it the preventive surah. It is indeed a chapter in the Book of Allah that whoever recites it every night will have increased blessings and goodness.
