أَخْبَرَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُهَاجِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ
كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ أَوْ أُحَدِّثُكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ إِذَا نَزَلَ بِرَجُلٍ مِنْكُمْ كَرْبٌ أَوْ بَلَاءٌ مِنَ بَلَاءِ الدُّنْيَا دَعَا بِهِ فُرِّجَ عَنْهُ؟» فَقِيلَ لَهُ بَلَى قَالَ دُعَاءُ ذِي النُّونِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Translation

✧ We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he said, "Shall I not tell you or inform you of something that, if a hardship or affliction from the worldly afflictions befalls one of you, he invokes it and it will be relieved?" So it was said, "Indeed, yes." He said, "The supplication of Dhul-Nun (Prophet Jonah): 'There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.'"
