أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ مُرَّةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي طَلِيقُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَدْعُو بِهَذَا الدُّعَاءِ «رَبِّ أَعِنِّي وَلَا تُعِنْ عَلَيَّ وَانْصُرْنِي وَلَا تَنْصُرْ عَلَيَّ وَامْكُرْ لِي وَلَا تَمْكُرْ عَلَيَّ وَاهْدِنِي وَيَسِّرِ الْهُدَى لِي وَانْصُرْنِي عَلَى مَنْ بَغَى عَلَيَّ رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي لَكَ شَكَّارًا لَكَ ذَكَّارًا لَكَ رَهَّابًا مِطْوَاعًا إِلَيْكَ مُخْبِتًا لَكَ أَوَّاهًا مُنِيبًا رَبِّ تَقَبَّلْ تَوْبَتِي وَاغْسِلْ حَوْبَتِي وَثَبِّتْ حُجَّتِي وَاهْدِ قَلْبِي وَسَدِّدْ لِسَانِي وَاسْلُلْ سَخِيمَةَ قَلْبِي» [225] 10369 أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُحَادَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَدْعُو «رَبِّ أَعِنِّي» وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ مُرْسَلًا حَدِيثُ سُفْيَانَ مَحْفُوظٌ وَقَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحْفَظَ مِنْ سُفْيَانَ وَحُكِيَ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَا أَوْدَعْتُ قَلْبِي شَيْئًا فَخَانَنِي

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate with this supplication: "My Lord, help me and do not help against me, support me and do not support against me, plan for me and do not plan against me, guide me and make guidance easy for me, and support me against those who transgress against me. My Lord, make me ever-grateful to You, ever-remembering You, ever-fearing You, obedient to You, humble toward You, turning to You in repentance. My Lord, accept my repentance, wash away my sin, establish my proof, guide my heart, make my tongue upright, and remove the rancor from my heart." [225] 10369 'Imran b. Musa informed us, he said: 'Abd al-Warith narrated to us, he said: Muhammad b. Juhadah narrated to us, from 'Amr b. Murrah, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate, "My Lord, help me," and he narrated the hadith as mursal. The hadith of Sufyan is preserved, and Yahya b. Sa'id said: I have not seen anyone with a better memory than Sufyan. It is reported from al-Thawri that he said: I never entrusted anything to my heart but that it let me down.
